Police Called to Property Over Welfare Concerns

After gaining access to the property, officers discovered both individuals seriously injured. Despite efforts from paramedics, they were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Treating Deaths as ‘Unexpected and Unexplained’

Chief Superintendent Trevor Lawry, who leads policing in Bexley, said:

“I know many residents in the local area will be questioning why police are carrying out enquiries within Holstein Way. We are currently investigating the death of two people, which was unexpected and unexplained.”

“At this early stage, we are working with officers and local authorities to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths. We believe that the two were known to each other, and at this time we are not seeking to speak with anyone else in connection with this.”

Crime Scene in Place as Investigation Continues

A crime scene remains in place outside the property as police conduct their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deaths.

Photos from the scene show police officers stationed outside the flats, with emergency vehicles parked nearby.
