Man Found Guilty Of Raping 15-Year-Old Girl At Bus Stop In Brent

A 23-year-old man named Deangelo Brown has been convicted of raping a 15-year-old girl in a terrible attack in North London on the 10th of March. Brown appeared at Harrow Crown Court on Tuesday and was found guilty of rape and sexual activity with a child. He is due back in court on Tuesday, the 3rd of November, for sentencing.

According to investigators with the Metropolitan Police, Brown approached the young girl while she was standing at a bus stop near Harlesden High Street in Brent. After asking the girl’s age, he demanded that she follow him, and because she feared for her safety, she followed him into an alleyway where he attacked her.

Luckily, a bystander witnessed the horrific attack and rushed to the young girl’s defense, scaring the attacker away. The bystander walked the girl to the Harlesden police station where she reported the crime and gave officers a description of Brown. Police swarmed the area in search of Brown and found him very quickly.

In comments to the press, Detective Constable Samantha Wilton, from the North West BCU, commended the bravery of the young girl and the citizen who came to her rescue.

“I would urge anyone who has been the victim of a sexual offence to contact police and report it so that we can bring those responsible before the courts,” Wilton said.

Last week, CrimeWatch.Uk reported on another brutal rapist who was put behind bars, a 32-year-old man named Sean McGowan who will be spending the next eight years and three months in prison.

The heartless attack left the victim in the hospital for over a month with extreme trauma and health problems that she is still dealing with today. In fact, the injuries were so severe that the woman may never be able to have children and it may be difficult for her to have sex in the future.
