Police Launch Huge Manhunt For Tommy Robinson After Man Left Needing CPR Following Assault

Far-right activist Tommy Robinson has left the UK just hours after a man was knocked unconscious at London’s St Pancras International station, prompting a police investigation and growing public scrutiny.

British Transport Police confirmed that the incident occurred on the evening of Sunday, 28 July. Officers responded to reports of an assault on the station concourse where a man was found lying face down. Paramedics performed CPR at the scene before rushing him to hospital with what police have described as serious injuries.

Footage widely shared on social media appeared to show Tommy Robinson—real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon—at the scene speaking with members of the public. In one video, Robinson is heard shouting: “He come at me, bruv… you saw that. He f*ing come at me.”

A spokesperson for British Transport Police released a statement on Monday morning confirming that the suspect had already fled the country:

“Following a report of an assault at St Pancras station last night (28 July), officers have confirmed that the suspect, a 42-year-old man from Bedfordshire, boarded a flight out of the country in the early hours of this morning. Detectives are continuing to work closely to progress the investigation and bring him into custody for questioning.”

The victim’s current condition has not been disclosed, but police sources confirmed the man remains in hospital. No arrests have yet been made.

Robinson’s presence at the scene and swift departure have raised questions over whether he is evading justice. As of Tuesday, police have not named Robinson as a suspect, but social media footage and eyewitness reports have placed him at the location during the time of the assault.

Eyewitness Samir Patel, 33, told reporters: “It all happened very fast. One moment it looked like an argument, the next this man was on the ground, not moving. Robinson was there shouting about how it was self-defence.”

Calls for Robinson’s return to the UK have been mounting, with campaign groups demanding that authorities treat the case with urgency. Anti-extremism advocate Imran Khan said: “This man has a long history of inflammatory behaviour. The idea that he can leave the country hours after someone is left unconscious is deeply concerning.”

Detectives are appealing for any further witnesses to come forward and for anyone with footage or information to contact British Transport Police, quoting incident number 655 of 28 July.

Robinson, the former leader of the English Defence League, has previously been convicted for assault, contempt of court, and fraud. He is currently facing unrelated charges of harassment in an upcoming trial scheduled for October.

As of now, police say efforts to locate and bring him into custody are ongoing.
