Tommy Robinson, the far-right activist whose real name is Stephen Yaxley‑Lennon, has broken his silence after fleeing the UK following a violent incident at St Pancras Station on the evening of July 28. Hours earlier, police confirmed he had left the country, prompting a manhunt.
British Transport Police said a 42-year-old man from Bedfordshire boarded a flight early on July 29 and is a suspect in connection with an assault at the station. The injured victim was hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. detectives confirmed their investigation is ongoing.
Video Shows Robinson at Scene, Claiming Self-Defence
Footage shared online shows Robinson walking near a man lying motionless on the concourse. In the clip, Robinson appears to shout:
“You saw him. He came at me, bruv, you saw that. He came at me.”
A witness described hearing a loud argument escalate before seeing Robinson allegedly deliver a punch that knocked the man unconscious. The victim was then left bleeding on the floor. Paramedics responded quickly.
Robinson’s Own Response: A Rallying Cry, Not an Apology
Rather than directly addressing the incident, Robinson posted a message on X (formerly Twitter) promoting a protest scheduled for September 13. He wrote:
“September 13th, we don’t just Unite The Kingdom, but the world!… Focus on what our country needs and what its people deserve. Join us in central London as we take a stand against tyranny, we won’t be silenced!”
He also reshared an X user’s post claiming:
“If you approach someone with hostility… expect to get a clip round the ear hole.”
I have spoken with @TRobinsonNewEra about the incident at Pancras station. Here is what I know.
1. The media is lying to you about Tommy Robinson fleeing the country just like they lied when he went on vacation during the Southport riots.
2. The man who suffered the injuries… pic.twitter.com/uGbysNZ9va

Legal and Public Reaction
This is not the first time Robinson has left the UK during periods of controversy—he fled in 2024 during contempt proceedings and again in 2020 amid an arson probe.
Tommy Robinson is already facing harassment charges in court over allegations involving journalists. His trial is scheduled for October 2026.
Police have urged witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to contact British Transport Police, referencing incident 655, and have confirmed their investigation remains active.
