Body of missing teenager found more than three months after disappearance

18-Year-Old Had Been Missing Since December

The body of a teenager discovered in Gloucestershire has been formally identified as 18-year-old Joseph Bellamy, who had been missing for more than three months.

Gwent Police confirmed that Joseph’s body was found near the village of Northington on Sunday, March 9.

Police Confirm Identity and Offer Condolences

Joseph was last seen on December 3, 2024, after leaving his home in Caldicot, Monmouthshire. He was later captured on CCTV riding a red pushbike towards the M48 bridge.

A Gwent Police spokesperson stated:

“Formal identification has taken place, and he was identified as Joseph Bellamy, 18, who was reported missing in December 2024.”

“His family have been informed, and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”

The family has requested privacy as they process the devastating news.

Investigation and Search Efforts

Joseph’s disappearance prompted an extensive police investigation after he was reported missing in late 2024.
